British climber Shauna Coxsey continues to redefine excellence in outdoor bouldering with her recent ascent of Superman V13 (8B) at Crag X in the Peak District, UK. Established by legendary climber Jerry Moffatt in 1989, this challenging line tests finger strength on a steep limestone bulge before a demanding finish. Coxsey expressed her pride in overcoming this “Peak classic,” highlighting it as a significant personal achievement.

At 31 years old, Coxsey is having an extraordinary year in 2024. Her accomplishments include the first ascent of Fotofobia Sit V14 in La Pedriza, Spain, where she also sent Pin y Pon V13 and Wild Wild West V13. Back in the UK, she repeated Fat Lip V13 at Raven Tor and made history as the first woman to conquer V14 on British soil with her ascent of Ned Feehally’s The Boss.

In Switzerland, Coxsey added to her accolades by repeating Hazel Grace V14 at Gotthard Pass, showcasing her prowess on aesthetic, five-star boulders in alpine settings. Her climbing journey began with her first-ever V14, New Base Line in Magic Wood, which she sent in 2014. In 2024 alone, Coxsey has already conquered three V14s and multiple V13s, marking this year as one of unparalleled achievement and progression in her outdoor climbing career.
